On Demand (Self-paced) NPE Preparation Course
Content, structure and resources
The course is divided into three main sections of Ethics and Communication, Assessment and Interventions. The Ethics and Communication sections are combined as there is a lot of overlap between the material and there are only 15 Communication questions.
The three sections of the course are spread across a seven-week format. There are two weeks on each main section and a final week of reviewing all the key areas for the exam. Each week contains multiple 30-40min videos accompanied by relevant readings, cheat sheets and games to assist in the learning and retention.
All the readings on the recommended reading list have been read by the presenter and included where relevant in each section. Each dot point and paragraph on the exam curriculum has been covered in each relevant section.
There are four mock exams to sit that are structured the same as the NPE. There are 150 questions comprising of 45 Ethics, 45 Assessment, 45 Interventions and 15 Communications. There is a timer n the screen that will count down from 3hrs and 30 minutes. You can flag questions to return to at a later point. At the end of each exam you will receive an overall percentage, a percentage for each section and a list of all the questions you got incorrect with the correct answer. Exam 1 should be sat prior to starting the course to create baseline data. Exam 2 should be sat after completing the Ethics and Communication section, exam three after completing the assessment and intervention sections and finally the last exam after doing the recap.
The resources include a typed summary of all the readings on the recommended reading list for the NPE, Cheat sheets for each domain, an exam technique and more.
You have 12m access to the material and hence can redo the course as many times as you like.
